Starter - Editing Techniques

S - Shot reverse shot structure - used in conversation sequences - usually medium close up
A - Action match - continuous action
C - Cross cutting (parallel action) - always in different locations - leads the audience into the narrative
I - Insert shot - used to give information - close up
E - Eye line match (a type of shot reverse shot) - shot from the first person perspective - can show what people are thinking - tries to keep continuity of angle
